Welcome to Universo Pet. These Terms of Use establish the rules for using our platform. Please read carefully before proceeding.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, registering, or using any service offered by the Universo Pet platform ('Platform'), you fully agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any provision of these terms, you must not use our services. Continued use of the Platform after updates to these Terms constitutes automatic acceptance of the changes.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms of Use, the following definitions apply:
Platform
Refers to the Universo Pet website and all its services, features, and content.
User
Any individual who accesses, registers, or uses the Platform's services.
Services
Veterinary consultations with Dr. Paws, personalized training guides, and complete pet health management.
Dr. Paws
Virtual veterinarian based on Google Gemini used to provide educational veterinary guidance.
Content
All material available on the Platform, including texts, images, videos, and responses generated by Dr. Paws.
3. Registration and User Account
To use the Platform's premium services, you must create an account by providing true, accurate, and complete information. You are responsible for:
Information Accuracy
Ensuring that all registration data (name, email, pet information) is true and up to date.
Confidentiality
Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and not sharing credentials with third parties.
Responsibility
All activities performed on your account are your sole responsibility, even if performed by third parties.
Email Verification
Confirming your email address through the link sent during registration. Unverified accounts may have limited access.
Free Trial
New users automatically receive 7 (seven) days of free access to all premium services. Stripe's secure checkout requires a valid credit card, however no charge is made if the user cancels before the trial ends.
4. Services Offered
The Universo Pet Platform offers the following services:
Consultations with Dr. Paws
Intelligent chat system that provides educational veterinary guidance with Dr. Paws. Allows upload of images and documents for multimodal analysis. Free plan: 2 consultations/month. Premium plan: unlimited consultations. Complete history stored for all users.
Personalized Training Guides
Generation of customized training guides for each pet, considering species, breed, age, and specific objectives. Available in beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Free plan: 2 guides/month. Premium plan: unlimited guides.
Complete Health Management
Control of vaccines, deworming, medications, surgeries, and veterinary consultations. Automatic reminder system via push and email. Complete pet history always available.
Smart Triage (Urgency Traffic Light)
At the end of each consultation, Dr. Paws automatically classifies urgency into three levels: 🟢 GREEN (monitor at home), 🟡 YELLOW (veterinarian within 24-48h) or 🔴 RED (emergency - seek a veterinarian IMMEDIATELY). This classification helps pet owners make more informed decisions about when to seek in-person care.
Guided Physical Exam
When necessary, Dr. Paws guides the pet owner step by step to perform a basic exam at home, checking eyes, ears, mouth, skin, paws, and abdomen. Does not replace an in-person veterinary exam, but helps identify signs that deserve attention. Free plan: 1 exam/month. Premium plan: unlimited exams.
Home Care Checklist
After consultations classified as 🟢 GREEN or 🟡 YELLOW, Dr. Paws automatically generates a personalized list of care tasks for the owner to perform at home. Includes automatic reminders for each task, progress monitoring, and warning signs to watch. Free plan: 1 checklist/month. Premium plan: unlimited checklists.
Health Score
Score from 0 to 100 that reflects the pet's overall health status, automatically calculated based on: up-to-date vaccines, deworming, medications, consultation frequency, and health history. Available on the dashboard for all users. Automatic alerts when the score drops significantly.
5. Dr. Paws Disclaimer
⚠️ IMPORTANT: The consultations with Dr. Paws offered by the Platform are EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND ADVISORY in nature. They DO NOT, under any circumstances, replace in-person consultation with a licensed veterinarian. The Platform DOES NOT:
Medical Diagnosis
Dr. Paws DOES NOT perform veterinary medical diagnoses. It only provides educational information based on general patterns.
Medication Prescription
Dr. Paws DOES NOT prescribe medications, treatments, or veterinary procedures. Any medication must be prescribed exclusively by a licensed veterinarian.
Emergencies
In case of a veterinary emergency (trauma, poisoning, breathing difficulty, severe bleeding), seek IMMEDIATE in-person veterinary care. DO NOT use Dr. Paws for emergencies.
Responsibility
Universo Pet is not responsible for decisions made solely based on Dr. Paws guidance. The owner is always responsible for their animal's health.
6. User Responsibilities
By using the Platform, you agree to:
Appropriate Use
Use the services ethically, legally, and in accordance with the proposed purposes.
Published Content
Be fully responsible for all content you publish (pet photos, health data, messages). Do not publish offensive, defamatory, illegal content or content that violates third-party rights.
Prohibitions
It is expressly prohibited: to use the Platform for illegal activities; to reverse engineer or attempt to access internal systems; to perform spam or send unsolicited content; to use Dr. Paws medical information for self-medication without veterinary guidance.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform (texts, images, logos, source code, design) is the exclusive property of Koda AI Studio or its licensors, protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Reproduction, distribution, or modification without prior written authorization is prohibited.
8. Plans and Payments
The Platform offers two usage plans:
Free Plan
Permanent access at no cost: 2 consultations with Dr. Paws + 2 training guides + 1 Guided Physical Exam + 1 Home Care Checklist per month, with automatic renewal at the beginning of each month. Includes complete health management (vaccines, deworming, medications), Smart Triage (urgency traffic light), Health Score, automatic reminders, and unlimited pet registration. No credit card required.
Premium Plan
Price: R$ 49.90 per month. Monthly automatic renewal. UNLIMITED access to consultations with Dr. Paws, training guides, Guided Physical Exams, Home Care Checklists, and complete history. Includes Smart Triage, Health Score, and priority support.
Premium Free Trial
7 (seven) consecutive days of full access to premium services, starting at the moment of Stripe checkout with credit card. If the user cancels before the deadline, no charge will be made and the user maintains access to the free plan.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed exclusively by Stripe, Inc. Universo Pet DOES NOT store credit card data.
Automatic Renewal
The subscription automatically renews every 30 days, unless previously cancelled by the user.
9. Cancellation and Refund
The user may cancel their subscription at any time through the 'Manage Subscription' page. Cancellation:
Effect of Cancellation
Access to premium services continues until the end of the paid period. After termination, the user maintains access to the free plan (2 consultations with Dr. Paws + 2 training guides per month, automatic renewal) and health management features.
Refund Policy
We do NOT offer proportional refunds for unused periods. Cancellation only prevents future renewals, without refunding already paid amounts.
Reactivation
You can reactivate your subscription at any time, resuming immediate access to premium services.
10. Health Management - Responsibilities
The Platform provides pet health management tools. It is important to note:
Owner Responsibility
The owner is solely responsible for keeping health data up to date and for following the guidance of veterinary professionals. The platform is an auxiliary tool and does not replace professional care.
Automatic Reminders
Vaccination, deworming, and medication reminders are based on dates provided by the user. Universo Pet is NOT responsible for incorrect reminders due to outdated or incorrect data.
Medical History
The health history stored on the platform is for the owner's reference. Always take your pet to a veterinarian for proper diagnoses and treatments.
Reports
Cases of mistreatment or problems with the platform should be reported immediately to studio.kodaai@gmail.com.
11. Limitation of Liability
Universo Pet is NOT responsible for: decisions made based on Dr. Paws guidance; direct or indirect damages arising from use of the Platform; temporary unavailability of services due to maintenance or technical failures; data loss due to user connection problems; actions or omissions of third parties (veterinarians, clinics). The Platform's maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the last 3 months.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that: services will always be available without interruptions; Dr. Paws guidance will be 100% accurate or applicable to all cases; the Platform will be free of errors or bugs; health reminders will always be accurate or complete.
13. Terms Modifications
Universo Pet reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by email with 30 (thirty) days' notice. Continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes automatic acceptance of the new terms. We recommend periodic reading of this page.
14. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The jurisdiction of the district of Esplanada, State of Bahia, is elected to resolve any disputes arising from these Terms, with express waiver of any other, however privileged it may be.
